The action film God Is a Bullet, which was directed by Nick Cassavetes and is based on the 1999 novel by Boston Teran, stars the 55-year-old actor as the Ferryman. Prior to My Sister's Keeper and The Other Woman, Cassavetes directed The Notebook in 2004 and My Sister's Keeper and The Other Woman, both starring Cameron Diaz.

Maika Monroe and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau are the stars of God Is a Bullet, which is currently playing in a few cinemas. According to earlier reports, the movie would premiere digitally on July 11.

A summary of the movie reads, "Detective Bob Hightower (Coster-Waldau) finds his ex-wife murdered and daughter abducted by a satanic cult. He quits the police force, gets tattoos, and infiltrates the cult to hunt down the charismatic cult leader, Cyrus, with the assistance of the cult's lone female escapee, Case Hardin (Monroe)."

"Case seizes the chance to reclaim her power while Bob is led down the rabbit hole to save his daughter."

According to Deadline, Cassavetes stated in April that he had been working on telling this fantastic narrative for more than 18 years. It pulls absolutely no punches and is rough, brutal, and full of two wonderful but damaged people. My favorite. There is just nothing else like it anywhere else.

A few of Foxx's upcoming movies include: The R-rated comedy Strays will be released in theaters on August 18. Foxx and Will Ferrell both voice Bug in the Netflix original film They Cloned Tyrone, which stars John Boyega and Teyonah Parris.

A post with a trailer for They Cloned Tyrone earlier this month stated, "It's about to go down," on Foxx's Instagram.

The Oscar winner "experienced a medical complication" on April 11, according to information posted by his daughter Corinne at the time on social media. Seth Gordon, who also helmed Foxx's Horrible Bosses, was in Atlanta filming the Netflix picture Back in Action, which also stars Diaz and Glenn Close.

Foxx was already "on his way to recovery" at that point, according to Corinne's April update, "due to quick action and great care."

Then, on May 3, Foxx posted a message to his Instagram account that read: "Appreciate all the love!!! I feel blessed.

A week later, Corinne, 29, provided another update, adding, "Sad to watch how the media runs wild. My Dad has been recovering at home for weeks, she said, criticizing a report that said the family was bracing for "the worst"

In actuality, she added, "he played pickleball yesterday! Many thanks for your prayers and encouragement! Next week, we'll also be making a big news about our company.
